Plastic has become a part of our daily lives. And its production has been forecast to grow 60% by 2030 and even triple by 2050. Plastic waste is currently found everywhere and most of it lasts forever. And the worst part? Not all plastic is actually being recycled.

In fact, only 9% of plastic worldwide is recycled. This has led to 14 million tonnes of plastic being dumped into our oceans each year and 85% of all plastic ending up in landfills across the world.

It begs the question: What can we do to restore the health of our oceans and planet?
